Skyrim Se Save Editor: How to Use xEdit and ReSaver for Advanced Editing

Before continuing, we highly recommend that you back up your saved game files. This utility controls a lot of the game's properties, so you need to be careful and back things up. Most commonly, the save game location for Skyrim is as follows (assuming Windows 7):

Backup your save game data before using cheat codes. While you can turn most of these codes off, and undo the changes you make, there is always a chance that using cheat codes will corrupt your game and cause undesired effects.

To make the process of transferring your saved game files from the original The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim easier, start the Special Edition version and save. This will create a save folder in the game installation folder. You can still transfer files, but you now will not have to create a "saves" folder. When installing the Special Edition version of the game, it does not replace your previous installation of the original The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. It installs to a completely separate folder. Your save files still work in the new version -- all you have to do is move them to the new file folder. You can find your saved game files at: C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\My Games\skyrim\saves. Select all files in this folder, or simple copy and paste the folder into the new Special Edition folder at: C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\saves. Alternatively, if there is no "saves" folder for the Special Edition, create a new folder and name it "saves". Note: The original save files from The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim are compatible with the Special Edition version of the game. However, if you installed mods and made saves, certain mods may cause issues -- so make sure to install any mods required for your save files.

Go to Riverwood village, and find Alvor & Sigrid's house. Inside is a man named Hadvar. Rest until it is after 8 a.m. so Alvor leaves the house. Sigrid and the young girl should remain downstairs, and Hadvar will be upstairs. If he is not, just wait until he comes upstairs. Then, save the game just in case there is a problem during the next part. Equip your strongest sword or weapon that you want to increase the skill level for, and sneak behind him until he cannot see you. Do a heavy strike, and he will stumble to the floor. When he gets up, he will have no knowledge that you hit him. He also never dies, so it can be done indefinitely. Repeat the process to level up as much as desired. This will also maximize your Sneak skill, and whatever weapon type you are using.

At any time, go to Dawnstar. Once in Dawnstar, locate the entrance to the Iron-Breaker Mine, but do not enter it. To the left of the entrance are some rocks around a tree. Walk under the tree, and aim your crosshairs around the edges of the rocks until "Search Chest" appears. Open it to find a large amount of free loot, including crafting supplies, weapons, armor, enchanted items, gold, and more. Note: The chest is invisible as it sits under the ground, but it is still lootable. Loot everything, then sell the items for a large sum of gold. It is recommended you bring a horse, as you will quickly become over-encumbered and unable to move quickly or fast travel. To reset the chest and get more loot, go back to the entrance to Dawnstar. You will see a Khajiit trader caravan. If the caravan is not there, wait a few days for it to return. Look for the Khajiit named "Ahkari". Save the game while looking at her, then attack her after saving. It is not necessary to kill her, as damaging her should be enough. Then, reload the saved game file, and talk to her. Ask to see her wares, then exit the "Trade" menu, and return to the invisible chest by the mine. Repeat this process as many times as desired.

Note: This trick requires an Xbox 360 controller. Use the following trick to level up your Blocking skill or save a few spare perks. Find a weak enemy that does not enter water (for example, a wolf). Pin yourself between the enemy and the water, then use a rubber band to hold the trigger button that controls your shield for as long as desired to keep leveling up the Blocking skill. Note: Make sure the enemy will not move from where he is attacking you.

Normally, when you pick up a skill book that is not in a container, you will read it and gain a point in that skill. However, there is a way to avoid this by adding the book to your inventory so that you can save it for use later. This is useful for later in the game when it can be difficult to increase a skill. To use this method, you need to have a companion. When you see a skill book, talk to your companion, and select the "I need you to do something" command. Then, put the cursor on the book, and select it. The dialog box will tell the companion to read the book, but the companion will add it to their inventory. You can then take the book from their inventory to read it and get the skill point when desired.

Looking for that latest patch for the game to stop those annoying crashes? Or perhaps a save game editor to 'adjust' your stats. Whatever type of Daggerfall file you are looking for, you can most likely find it here. The files are ordered by general type and sub-ordered by the date on which the file was added to UESP.

Has not yet started the main quest. The only cheats used were a bio editor to create custom biography and the show all dungeons cheat because one of the artifact quests refused to mark the dungeonon on the map. All primary, major and minor skills maxed out and all miscellaneous trained to at least 50. Owns all books and potion recipes. Revered status in Daggerfall, Wayrest, Sentinal and home town of Santaki (owns a large house there).

Has Advantages: General Spell Absorption, Immunity to Magic, Extertise in Short Blade, Increased Magery x3 and Athleticsiscm. Disadvantages: Critical Weakness to paralysis and Poison, Forbidden materials Elven and Orcish, and forbidden weapons Axe and Missile. Great reputation with everyone and ALL bribes for totem. Most of the money was received from stealing stuff from the Odd Blades. Most levels and stats attained with an editor. Is a patriarch in all temples but Zen and Dibella, a Paladin for the knights of the Dragon, an Arch-mage, and a master thief AND assasin. Owns a large boat and is well into the main quest.David A. You can find out more information about the product on Cyber Gadget's very Japanese website through here. Is this something you'd be in the market for or are you frustrated that some players may be about to get an unfair advantage? Edit your save data in the comments section below.

And this is why games like Destiny have server side saves. I wish all MP games did. I noticed the Ghost Recon Beta saves were local. That's a big negative in my book and it DOES sway my purchasing criteria towards the "pass" side. I feared this day was coming. Very sad.

I use trainers occasionally, but it's only on games that I've either completely beaten, lost the save file for (which happened recently) or if the game doesn't offer a new game plus after beating it, I'll roll through it like that.

-There's a serious flaw in Sony's encryption scheme-The program relies on computer resources to brute-force the encryption. If the encryption is light enough to allow it, that's is an option-one scale flaw in itself-These guys have cracked or gotten ahold of Sony's encryption key, which raises the question of whether Sony could update the key without bricking millions of old saves-Or it could all be a scam/hoax.

Other than that, I had something like this for game saves, and I remember that it took forever to figure it out and then it messed with the game so much, that it became useless, and the price of this one, wouldn't doubt me anymore. I'll just take to beating the games on my own!

Bad news for those planning to get the editor. I asked the company and non-japanese game saves won't be usable with the pre-registered codes at all. Meaning, even though FFXV codes are available in the software, it wouldnt for example recognize a FFXV (US) save file as eligible to edit.

They didn't clarify, but this prrobably means that any non-japanese save files will have to be manually edited which can be very time consuming and frustrating (based on my experiments with iPhone games).
